I figured out a way. While booting CML2, one of the first things you'll see is a boot selection window that says something about CentOS. Type "e" and on the line that says "linux" add " init=/bin/bash" to the end of it. It will probably wrap the line several times to make sure its the end. Then his "F10" to boot. You should come up to a bash shell on the box as root, so just change the password using "passwd <username>" for whatever user you want to change it for. Probably sysadmin.

Then reboot the system again, you should be set.

not likely, stpe 5 in https://developer.cisco.com/docs/modeling-labs/#!faq/system-administration describes reset password but with sysadmin account.

if you applied and register your license, you will loose it after another new install. you must contact CML people to de-register "lost" cml install so that you can apply license to new install.

see https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/question/0D53i00000aUWOpCAO/can-i-remove-my-license-from-cml-personal-2x-via-vm-cli

Regards, ML
**Please Rate All Helpful Responses **
