Issues using Pyang

Hi guys, thanks for taking the time to read, i'm new to programming and i'm trying to use pyang to generate a tree structure for some .yang files, but every time i try, i get the same error with all the files.

(env) macos@macos$ pyang -f tree turing-machine.yang

turing-machine.yang:7: error: syntax error: illegal keyword: <!DOCTYPE html>

if i take away the "tree" plugin, i get this error:

(env) macos@macos$ pyang -f turing-machine.yang

unsupported format 'turing-machine.yang'

am i doing something wrong, thanks in advance.
