Help with Dynamic IP problem

OpenDNS has been working great for a month, but last night my ISP updated my IP address and now I can't seem to get the service working again.

I tried manually updating my IP address in settings.
I have gone into my router's firmware to ensure that both openDNS servers were still listed as the DNS.
I have rebooted both the router and my computer more than once.
I have downloaded and ran the openDNS Dynamic IP updater. Even after I press the update now button it still says "Using DNS? off"

It looks like the DNS servers aren't resolving, or there is a cache issue maybe. I am using a tp-link Archer c7 router. Unsure what else to try.

Every time I check the welcome.opendns.com to check for successful configuration I receive the OOPS message.

The only webtraffic that is showing up in stats is:
www.tp-link.com and a.root-servers.net

I tried some commands in a terminal that I found on similar issues in the forums here. Here are their outputs:

>nslookup -type=txt which.opendns.com. 208.67.220.220

Server: 208.67.220.220

Address: 208.67.220.220#53

Non-authoritative answer:

which.opendns.com text = "11.nyc"

Authoritative answers can be found from:

>nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com.

Server: 192.254.74.200

Address: 192.254.74.200#53

** server can't find debug.opendns.com.: NXDOMAIN

>>nslookup myip.opendns.com. 208.67.220.220

Server: 208.67.220.220

Address: 208.67.220.220#53

Non-authoritative answer:

Name: myip.opendns.com

Address: [IP address removed, but it does show the correct IP address]

Any ideas on what else to try?? Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the information. From the limited information available I'm not able to ascertain the exact cause of your problem. Please could you try running the diagnostic tool (https://support.opendns.com/entries/21841580) and raise a support case with the resulting URL?

Thanks!

You do not use OpenDNS yet, i.e. your DNS queries are not sent to OpenDNS, but to another DNS service. Your device/router at 192.254.74.200 (tp-link Archer c7 router?) doesn't do its job correctly. You may want to post the screen shot of where you have configured the OpenDNS resolver addresses.

As long as this is not solved, your IP address and your dashboard are irrelevant. They are only in effect if you actually use OpenDNS.

The two openDNS addresses were originally configured only in WAN. With this configuration it had been working for a month, up until my ISP modified my IP.

The addresses have not been modified at all, they are still the same in the router after the dynamic IP change. To try to correct the issue, I have since added the two DNS addresses in DHCP as well.
