"AIR-LAP1042N-K9L" always lost communication with the network device

Dear sir,
     I don't know why "AIR-LAP1042N-K9L" always lost communication with the network device that just works as AP. Maybe it works in an environment with full of iron racks. SO how to improve the communication quality?
   And I want the have the manual about this device, but cannot find it on the website of cisco.

hi, AIR-LAP1042N-K9L is a Retirement device. The End-of-Support Date: 2018-09-30

If you want manual config LAP1042N, you should try update the image file to make AIR-LAP1142N-A-K9 Lightweight to Standalone AP Mode.

Hi, We distributed ten devices of AIR-LAP1042N-K9L work in the factory which is the autonomous mode. Because the signal needs to cover all the area.

I am not sure the standalone AP Mode will be helpful. What is the advance of the standalone AP Mode? Could the mobile devices switch the AP smoothly in the factory?
