以下の方法でFPR1000/FPR2100のFXOSのパスワードリカバリーが可能です．
本体を再起動し，起動シーケンス時における「Use BREAK or ESC to interrupt boot.」出力時においてESCを押し，ROMMONモードに移行します．

起動完了後，FXOS, ASA共に全ての設定が初期化された状態となりますので，そこでパスワードの再設定を含め，FXOS, ASAの再設定を実施します．
一部の古いドキュメントにおいてROMMONモードから'password_reset'と入力してパスワードの初期化を行うドキュメントがございますが，このコマンドはROMMON Version 1.0.04までのものには実装されておりますが，ROMMON Version 1.0.06以降のリリースには削除されておりご利用いただけません．
