問題
ASR1002-X ルータにおいて PTP(Precision Time Protocol) 設定時に、以下のようなメッセージが出力され、設定ができない場合があります。

*Mar 14 01:10:53.198: %ASR1000_PTP-3-FPGA_VER_ERR: Please consider upgrading the FPGA for PTP to function properly.
Current Route processor FPGA version is below 0x20030
この問題はルータに搭載されている FPGA がPTPの使用に対応していないために発生します。
該当しているか否かは show hw-programmable all コマンドの出力の FPGA version から確認できますが、メッセージに記述されている0x20030 以下の場合は、この問題が発生します。

この問題は FPGA を PTP の使用に対応したものに入れ替えることで解決できます。
解決方法
以下の要領で FPGA のアップグレードを行って下さい。
1) 以下の cisco.com の Download Software から FPGA 用のイメージをダウンロードして下さい。
ASR 1002-X IOS XE Hardware Programmable Devices Package
イメージ名は asr1002x-hw-programmables.03.13.02.S.154-3.S2-ext.SPA.pkg です。
また、イメージ名にあるバージョンは IOS イメージのバージョンとは関係ありませんので、IOS を 15.4(3)S2/3.13.0.2.S に揃えるといった必要はありません。
2) copy コマンドで上記のイメージをルータの booflash へダウンロードして下さい。
Router# copy tftp://[Server IP addr]/asr1002x-hw-programmables.03.13.02.S.154-3.S2-ext.SPA.pkg bootflash:
3) 以下のように upgrade hw-programmable コマンドで FPGA イメージのアップグレードを行って下さい。
Router# upgrade hw-programmable fpga filename bootflash:asr1002x-hw-programmables.03.13.02.S.154-3.S2-ext.SPA.pkg R0
アップグレードの過程では以下のメッセージが出力され、問い合わせが発生しますがいずれもそのまま進めて下さい。
Router# upgrade hw-programmable fpga filename bootflash:asr1002x-hw-programmables.03.13.02.S.154-3.S2-ext.SPA.pkg R0
Upgrade FPGA on Route-Processor 0 from current version 00020022 to 00020034 [Press Enter to confirm]
This command could take up to 15 minutes, please wait and do not power-cycle the chassis or the card. Otherwise, hardware may be unrecoverable. It is recommended that all cards are running the same version IOS-XE software prior to the upgrade. At the end of upgrade you will be asked to reload the chassis. [Press Enter to confirm]
Upgrade fpga hw-programmable on Route-Processor 0
The fpga has been successfully upgraded on Route-Processor/0.
PLEASE RELOAD THE CHASSIS NOW.
4) ルータを再起動して下さい。
3) での出力例の下方にあるように FPGA のアップグレードが正常に終了したことを確認後、ルータの再起動を行って下さい。

5) 再起動後に再び show hw-programmable all コマンドを実行して FPGA version の版数が上がっていることを確認して下さい。
