大神好！2台6509 做Vss ，sup720的引擎，做vsl 线必须是万兆口吗？版本是15.1的。有什么需要注意的细节？板卡x6148是不是不支持vss模式？ws x6724和ws x6748 10ge是支持吧？谢谢了！

目前只听过别人搞过vss，自己没机会弄，以下资料来自官方文档，以及个人理解（有来源标注）

1. VSL必须使用万兆接口吗？

 是的，根据官方对应版本手册说明，vsl只支持10G的接口做vsl，最好使用引擎上的10G接口，当然也可以使用LineCard上的10G口

VSL Hardware Requirements （附1）
The VSL EtherChannel supports only 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports. The ports can be located on the supervisor engine (recommended) or on one of the following switching modules:

- WS-X6716-10T
- WS-X6716-10G
- WS-X6708-10G
We recommend that you use both of the 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports on the supervisor engines to create the VSL between the two chassis.

2. 有什么注意细节？（附1）

 配置文档中的说明并没有提及太多，有两点相对比较重要：一是VSS不支持机箱内的引擎冗余,二是VSL部分需要满足10G接口，其他的大都是配置上的问题。

VSS mode operates with stateful switchover (SSO) redundancy if it meets the following requirements:

- Both supervisor engines are running the same software version.
- The VSL-related configuration in the two chassis matches.
- The PFC mode matches.
- SSO and nonstop forwarding (NSF) are configured on both chassis.

3. x6148是不是不支持vss模式？

个人感觉引擎能支持这个线卡，vss模式下应该就能用，vss模式不支持的线卡应该会保持断电的状态

4. ws x6724和ws x6748 10ge是支持吧？

WS-X6724-SFP 和 WS-X6748-SFP是不支持10G的。这两个线卡的描述分别是：(附3）

1、interface port-channel下是switch模式还是no switch模式？

2、2台65做VSS，每台65设备上都有2个720引擎，单台如果主引擎坏了，备引擎会自动起来吗？

1. 如果是接其他的交换机，portchannel使用switchport 还是no switchport 这个看你的实际需求。如果这个port-channel用于VSL，可以直接将成员接口先进行default设置（default interface xxx），然后再加到channel-group中就行，VSL中跑的是经过特殊封装的流量，有点类似于交换机的背板，模式应该不属于switchport或者no switchport

The VSL carries data traffic and in-band control traffic between the two chassis. All frames forwarded over the VSL link are encapsulated with a special 32-byte header, which provides information for the VSS to forward the packet on the peer chassis.

2. 这个问题不太好说，如果有环境的话可以在配置后先测试一下。从文档上看“VSS mode does not support supervisor engine redundancy within a chassis.” 我理解这句话是说vss模式下不支持一个机箱内配置冗余引擎，也就是两个引擎没戏，而且VSS中也用到了SSO，单纯的引擎冗余也是SSO，这个有冲突了呀。还有一句话“In VSS mode, supervisor engine redundancy operates between the active and standby chassis, using stateful switchover (SSO) and nonstop forwarding (NSF). The peer chassis exchange configuration and state information across the VSL and the standby supervisor engine runs in hot standby mode.” 引擎冗余是工作在主备机框之间，也就是SSO是维护的是两个机框的状态切换，而不是一个机框两个引擎的主备切换。

此外我听说过有人用4507R配置双引擎和VSS。貌似还是正常的。虽然是4507，但技术应该是同一个，，当然，是 听说。。

配置VSS搭配MEC（Multichassis EtherChannel）,基本上就算对设备进行冗余了，除了单接的设备，两个框同时出故障的可能也不是太大。

我知道的目前也就这些，就当个参考吧。
