Hi @Ibrahim Jamil ,
I partially covered this in this post: https://community.cisco.com/t5/application-centric-infrastructure/what-is-command-to-save-config-in-aci/m-p/4689268/highlight/true#M12889
But that doesn't explain WHY the simulator doesn't save the config. And to be honest, to find that out you'd have to talk to the developers. It could be a number of reasons
- The sim may store the config in RAM to keep it efficient. And the developers didn't bother writing special extra code to keep the simulator config as part of shutdown!
- It may have been designed that way, simply to stop people building massive systems on the simulator. I do know that if you leave the simulator running for a long time(weeks) it has a tendency to lock up
- It may have been a way of making the code more efficient
- It may be some other reason I haven't thought of!
Probably option 4 above is the most likely, but only the developers know.
In the meantime, you have to live with it.
