Since the weekend we have moved several servers between an old 6500 environment connected via Layer2 link to our new Cisco infrastructure comprising of 2xNexus95K's running the layer 3 SVI's and several Nexus93K's running the layer2 server connectivity. Most servers have worked, but 3 servers have had connectivity issues which have presented in the below states;
Network Infrastrucure = 2 x Nexus 9500 running a vPC domain and containing the subnet/vlan SVIs, 2 x Nexus 9300 running a vPC domain running as layer 2 connectivity (Double Ended vPC)
Server Connections = 4 ethernet connections per server across the 9300's vPC pair running a vPC
Symptoms = vPC, Port-channel and Server ports appear up/up and correctly working after server relocation. The server IP is unable to be ICMP'ed from the 9500 acting as the HSRP Primary, yet the 9500 running as HSRP Standby is able to ICMP the server IP. This was leading to the server being unreachable.
