Problem assigning VPC to SVI on L3 Out

I know this is something super simple, I just haven't configured these in a while.  I have a VPC created, and it is tied into and AEP, Interface Selector, VLAN Pool, and an External Routed domain.  All of these look fine with no faults, and the L3Out looks fine with no faults.  When I go to configure the SVI under the logical interface profile, and select VPC I cannot bring up the VPC that I am wanting to use.  Like I said, I know this is simple, and I have run into it before, just don't remember how to fix it.  Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

what do you mean by  "I cannot bring up the VPC"? Is that the Interface policy group asociated with the VPC does not appear listed in the "Path" box?

Yes, the VPC does not appear in the list.

If you do "show vpc map" from the APIC command line, does it appear there?

It does not show up with show vpc map.

If the VPC is correctly configured in the Interface Policies and without any Faults, it's quite strange that it don't show up.

As balaji.bandi said, I would be helpful to have the configuration.

@HelenaC      I have this issue the path box does not list any vpc interface policy group, although I created one

Hi stevemadel,

The first alarm bell that rang for me when I read

I have a VPC created, and it is tied into and AEP

was "Is the AEP a layer 2 only AEP?"

Now I don't have time to research this, and I'm pretty ashamed of my shoddy answer, but would you mind checking if the AAEP that is linked to your VPC has any Layer3 ROUTED interfaces associated. If so, remove them and see if that fixes the problem.  If not, I've wasted some of your time and I apologise.

Please let me know in eiather case (I'm not in the habit of submitting untested answers, I just don't have the time ATM)

I hope this helps

Hello

I have the same problem. Did you solve it?

Thank you.

A little late to the party, but for future reference.

Did you create the vPC policy under (4.1 menu): Fabric > Access Policies > Policies > Switch > Virtual Port Channel default?  If you don't assign the nodes to a vPC group, the vPC won't show up in 'show vpc map', nor will it be available in the drop-down menu.  It's also worth noting that both nodes in the vPC must be up and healthy for the vPC to fully form, and you will not be able to use the vPC in an EPG until that vPC has been up and healthy at least once.
