relogin in apic kvm

I enter wrong parameter during apic controller initiation and wrongly press enter for continue, currently when i launch kvm in cimc, I try to enter previous admin user name/password, but can't login, may i know the recovery steps and command to initiate the apic controller second time. thanks

Hi Mary,

Since you entered wrong parameters, you would have to erase the configuration on APIC and re-enter the details again. Use below 2 commands to do so from kvm console.

acidiag touch setup

acidiag reboot

After this, apic will reload and come back on the setup script. 

admin credentials wouldn't work unless this APIC joins the cluster(if this is not the First APIC). You can try with username as "rescue-user" and password as your admin password.

Thanks, but before I enter the two commands you mentioned, can I hardset the apic in cimc?
instead of using the two commands you mentioned, can i use eraseconfig setup

Yes, eraseconfig setup also should work.. 

for any of these commands, you need to first login either using admin (May not work) or rescue-user.

apic hardset from cimc can be done, but this wouldn't take you back to setup script. so erasing the config on the apic must be done anyway.
