ACI - How to display a fault if CRC or Input Error counters increase.

APIC Version : 3.0.2n

Hi,

My use case is quite simple but I don't know really how to do that.

I would like to display a "fault" if CRC or Input Error are detected on any physical interfaces.

The "Monitoring Policies" seems to be the good way but I need your advice to configure it properly.

Thank you.

Regards,

Ju

you've probably already found it but for anyone that is reading this post, you can view them in the GUI or via CLI..

You can configure the threshold under the default Monitoring policy under Fabric Policies -> Monitoring -> default -> Stats Collection Policies.

Select Monitoring Object "Layer 1 Physical Interface Configuration (l1.PhysIf) and choose Ingress Drop Packers from the Stats Type dropdown

Click on the + button to configure thresholds and edit threshold for Ingress Error Drop Packets rate. You can set your custom values here.

- Rising Thresholds —Triggered when the value exceeds the threshold

- Falling Thresholds —Triggered when the value drops below the threshold.

- The set value specifies when a fault is triggered; the reset value specifies when the fault is cleared.
