Hello,
CISCO ACI LEAF has a limit of 2000EPGs in network centric approach (2000EPS, "2000BDs menad that we reach the limit of 4k local tags on a leaf). we can not change the network centric approach because this is existing workload.
now we ware thinking how we are able to reduce the used tags.
one idea is to move several EPGs into one BD. but here we have issues with DHCP, because every EPG uses a different subnet, and DHCP works on BD-level. so a posisble workaround would be to move the DHCP-relay on an external router (which is connected to ACI via static binding). but in case we have several DHCP relays (one per EPG) on an external router which end up in one BD we fear that the DHCP-request will be broadcasted and therefore received by every DHCP-relay, not just the one dedicated to the particular EPG.
can anybody comment such a situation or has already expericence? could it work or will it be an issue
