DHCP Problem ACI

Hi all,

a customer reported a DHCP problem within the ACI fabric.

A given MS DHCP server seems to be doesn't work. After changing to a Linux based DHCP Server it works.

Can anyone point me to a document which explains a MS server configuration to work with ACI?

Thanks

Udo

Hi

I copied a link below that explains how the dhcp configuration in ACI works as well as an explanation of how option 82 can impact some versions of Windows.

Hi Udo,

Which version of Windows server you are running? If its before Windows server 2012 it could be the option 82 issue. ACI uses Option 82 for DHCP relay whereas Windows server doesn't support that. Windows server 2012 onwards supports option 82. So, you can probably test with MS Server 2012 and see how it goes.
