Different L3Outs in a Multi-Pod environment

Hello,

in a given Multi-Pod environment we had a L3Out for each Pod and only one Tenant/VRF. Routing to L3Out is only possible with static routing.

In this case there are three default routes within the fabric. An endpoint will choose the l3out with the best metric and this is the local.

Is there a possibility to force an endpoint to choose a specific l3out? Our requirement dictates that specific Bridge Domains/EPGs using only a dedicated L3Out.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Udo

PBR is the feature which can be used to redirect traffic to a different location, however PBR service node cannot be L3out. reconfiguring your external router as service node will require bigger design change and other traffic considerations.  One way you can achieve this in ACI is by having dedicated vrf per epg/l3out.
