Not able to get ping from one site to other site after stretching BD using ACI MSC into Multisite deployment

Dear All ,

I am  not able to get ping from one site to other site after stretching BD using MSC ..In this use case , we are tying to stretch BD,EPG from one site to another site .In order to achieve this , we have configured static binding using specific leaf in each site using same VLAN(Example: VLAN 1520) and separate physical Domain in each site .

However, We are not getting ping from one site to another site after attaching the the bare metal Server in each site.But each Server is getting ping to BD gateway from each site .

Can you any one help to identify the actual root cause of the problem .Looking forward to your kind cooperation .

Hi Erfan,

Within the EPG (under tenant>Application profile>Application EPG> ) under the operational tab do you learn Mac address of your bare metal server(s) ?

Under the bridge domain what values have you chosen with regards to Unknown L2 unicast / L3 unknown multicast flooding ?

Hi Alexander ,

We have checked and noticed that Endpoint is learning mac address and IP address in each site and each server is getting ping the Bridge domain subnet from respective sites.

Yeah , We have choose Unknown L2 unicast / L3 unknown multicast flooding from respective EPG.
But No luck .For your information , We have created individual physical domain and associated same vlan pool(1400-1550) and statically bind the EPGs using vlan 1520 from MSC .

Do we need to bind separate vlan into EPGs in each Site ??
