Hello community,
we have an NXOS device showing up in the discovery window of our ACI fabric (3.2(7f)).
The device (n93180YC-EX) originally was running ACI code, however as it's used for IPN it was booted with an NXOS image. We even performed a SW-upgrade afterwards, so the device was booted successfully with NXOS at least two times.
Now the serial number is showing up in the discovery process of the APIC. Any ideas how we can get rid of this? It's obviously not impacting the network, but still it would be nice to have a "clean" environment.
Kind regards,
Nik

Did you started the POAP process on the Nexus Switch? If yes, then it could be possible that the DHCP Discovery packets to reach APIC and this is why it shows in inventory tab.
To remove it, I am not sure. Try to "register it", because it will fail. After that, decommission it and remove it from controller.
Stay safe,
Sergiu

Hi Sergiu,
thank you for your reply. We aborted the POAP process but we can try what you suggested anyway. I'll update the discussion when we have new information.
Kind regards
Nik
