Problem with adding APIC to Cluster in ACI Fabric

hello
I currently have one APIC controller which online and running with 4 leafs and 2 spines.
after I do initial setup on 2nd and 3rd APIC, the new controllers appear in the first APIC GUI menu
System>Controllers>apic_controller_name>Cluster as Seen by Node in the Unauthorized Controllers list
I do right-click and select Accept Controller but nothing happens and new APICs don't join my cluster in fabric
I checked NTP and LLDP of my APICs and there was no problem
what else should I do?

Thanks

Hi @JohnJudi

Usually the APICs are being marked as unauthorized if they are running different ACI version compared with the active controller.

Check if you have the same version. If not, then you need to upgrade them to the same version.

Stay safe,

Sergiu

Thank you Sergiu!

But the version of APICs are same and is 4.1(1l)

and version of my Leaf and Spine devices is n9000-14.0(3d)

What faults do you see being generated fabric wide?

I have no error on APIC1

Except Insufficient In-Service Controllers Alert

Check the output of the "date" command on each of your controller's CLIs.

Robert

I edited time in bios.

times are same

difference is less than a few seconds.

Is this a brand new cluster or has it been rebuilt?

Also please provide the outputs of these commands from EACH APIC:

acidiag avread
acidiag verifyapic
acidiag cluster
acidiag run lldptool in eth2-1 (use your respective fabric interface ID if this doesn't work)
acidiag run lldptool out eth2-1 (use your respective fabric interface ID if this doesn't work)

Robert

excuse me for replying late Robert

this is a brand new cluster and I've already checked these commands on APICs.

as the outputs of commands is much so could you please tell me what specific information do you want?

Log them to a text file and attach them to this thread.
Robert

I talked to our manager

He said I'm not allowed to attach all output

could you please tell me what I should check from these outputs?

To be able to assist, really need the outputs as there's lots of outputs & lines to check.  If you're not able to glean out any proprietary info (Serial #'s, IPs etc) and provide information on the forum, then please open a TAC case and they'll assist you further confidentially.
