Hello,
Imagine that we have one base epg and one micro epg on same bridge domain. Normally I look endpoints of micro epg from GUI , USeg EPG -->Operational--> Client End-Points.
But I realized that when I run "show endpoint ip x.x.x.x detail " from leafs or apic , output show the endpoint group info as base epg , not micro-epg. So is there any way to show micro-epg endpoints in CLI ? Also why CLI output show endpoint's epg info as base epg not micro-epg ?
Thank you

Hi,
When you are using the show endpoint ip x.x.x.x command in APIC, you can get the the EPG which that ip is learn under AEPg section. It will show the mico EPG name if that ip is learning in a micro EPG.
APIC-1# show endpoints ip x.x.x.x
Legends:
(P):Primary VLAN
(S):Secondary VLAN
Dynamic Endpoints:
Tenant : <tenant name>
Application : <AEP name>
AEPg : <EPG/micro EPG name>
But if you run show endpoints ip x.x.x.x detail command in the respective leaf, it will only show the Base EPG. Because ACI leaf learn the EPG of an endpoints based on the encap VLAN which is used in that EPG. Since micro EPG uses the same encap VLAN as the base EPG, that endpoint is show as base EPG in that command output.
So if you want to verify the EPG of a endpoint IP, use show endpoint ip command in the APIC itself. In there it will show the EPG objective name under AEPg.
if you want to verify that EPG is an micro EPG, use show epg <EPG name> detail.
in that command you will have a section called uSeg EPG. If that attribute shown as yes then that EPG is an micro EPG
Hope this helpful to clarify your question
