What is Cisco ACI command equivalent to Cisco IOS `show version`?

Based on this link, Cisco ACI is actually based on the Cisco Nexus 9000 family.

The hardware for it is based on the Cisco Nexus 9000 family of switches.

https://www.sdxcentral.com/data-center/definitions/what-is-cisco-aci/

But when Cisco Nexus or IOS do have show version command, why don't Cisco ACI have similar command?

I would like to know more about this device, like model number, software version etc.

What is the right command for Cisco ACI? Probably something equivalent to Cisco IOS show version?

Hi @fc00::/7 ,

You have a conceptual problem.  You are TRYING to do stuff with the ACI switches.

STOP thinking this way

ACI is a centralised controller paradigm

You do everything from the controller (APIC) unless you are into specific troublshooting on chips or the like.

Checking the version is something done from the APIC - and as others have told you, the command is (surprise) show version

apic1# show version
 Role Pod Node Name Version
 ---------- ---------- ---------- ------------------------ --------------------
 controller 1 1 apic1 5.1(3e)
 spine 1 1101 Spine1101 n9000-15.1(3e)
 leaf 1 1201 Leaf1201 n9000-15.1(3e)
 leaf 1 1202 Leaf1202 n9000-15.1(3e)

If you want MORE output, stay with the APIC, and prefix the command with fabric <node-range>

apic1# fabric 1101,1201-1202 show version
