Central Manager

Dear all,

I am going to deploy 1 X Wave-694 and 2 X Wave-594 into a network. In order to set up a Cisco Waas Central Manager I have some doubts:

• Do I need to deploy an extra appliance just for the Waas Centrral Manager?
  

• If so, what model is necessary?
  

• If no, could be used just 1X wave-694 equipment to manage the three equipments?

Please find the answer to your questions:

Do I need to deploy an extra appliance just for the Waas Centrral Manager?

Yes you do. A device can be used as an accelerator or a central manager, not both at the same time.

If so, what model is necessary?

There is no specific model. I believe all of the standalone appliances can be used as central managers so any should do.

If no, could be used just 1X wave-694 equipment to manage the three equipments?

As stated above, if you use your 694 as central manager, you won't be able to use it to accelerate traffic.
