CMS status is offline. WAVE 274 appears offline but it is telnetable

Hi all ,

One of my WAVE-274 has this alarm :

CMS status is offline.

It appears offline on the central manager GUI but it is reachable by Telnet . This is the message I get when logging :

System Initialization Finished.

Disk based software not installed.

Some applications may not run correctly!

this eror message means that WAAS software is not fully installed on the WAVE device (I'm not sure I understand how the CM can have the device's information while the device isn't completely installed.) When installing WAAS from CD, there are several menu options you ned to select (I forget the exact number sequence: 1,3,5,7,8) where the last option is to install the WAAS image from CD then exit, unload the CD and reload.

I've ran across similar erorr message as yours when I forgot to follow the last two steps (and hence didn't install WAAS system image)

Is this a new install, or has this WAVE 274 been operational for a while?

In fact I'm not the one who installed the software . But i can tell you  this is an old install and was fully operationnal.
