CSM : Cookie stickyness and Replication

Hi,

Is there any need to synchronize sticky between two redundant CSM when using cookie stickyness ?

With the CSS, the Arrowpoint cookie contained the IP address of the target server, but with the CSM, the cookie looks different and I don't know if there is any relation with the server IP address.

Yves,

if you are talking about 'cookie insert' than there is normally no need to synchronize the cookie table.

Each entry of the sticky table is normally a hash of the server ip and port and the hash function should provide the same entry on both CSM.

You can verify on the standby if you have the same table as on the active CSM with the command 'sho mod csm X sticky group x'.

Gilles.
