CSM on 6509

Hi

I have a CSM 2.2(1) on the 6509 blade. When i went through the configuration i found its creating a port channel for the 4 Gbps backplane. I want to know if thats the feature the CSM functions. I have explicitly created the port chanelling for that CSM. Its associating a ramdom number between 286-289. Because i found the same automatic port chanelling hapenning in another 6500 series switch. Thanks in advance. Please reply ASAP.

Definitely normal operating conditions, we’ve seen this behavior before.

What you are seeing is exactly correct, this is how the CSM was designed to work.
