Is it possible to get details of pass through traffic through WAE device?

We need details like port/protocol, amount of pass through traffic etc. for particular duration. It is required for identifying traffic for optimization. Devices are WAE 574 on v4.1.1c.

You can do  WAE#show stat connection pass-through it will display something like this:

Local IP:Port         Remote IP:Port        Peer ID

155.155.14.9:21       199.199.1.200:28624   N/A               PT
155.155.13.92:21      199.199.1.147:26564   N/A               PT

see the IP address/source port and the  destination address with it's outgoing port as well.

hope that helps,

Felix

Hi Pranav,

In WAAS you can either see the list of individual Pass through connections as mentioned by Felix but that too in real time only. Another thing related to Pass Through traffic you can see is the application wise pass through volume, thats all.

If your purpose is to identify what Application traffic is on the network and who are the top talkers then you must be looking at NAM and use Netflow (FNF) on the routers to export data in to NAM. There are other 3rd party management apps where you can export the flow records. NBAR and NBAR2 provides further Deep analysis.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Kiran.

Thanks Felix.

But is it possible to have consolidated view of pass through traffic i.e. IP ADDR: PORT & No. of connections or amount of data for particular traffic rather than details of individual connection. This will help to identify which traffic to optimize.
