Hi
I would like to restart the supervisors on my Nexus 7Ks and as I have not done this before, just trying to see if anyone has done this before and if I will be following the correct process.
So I have 2 x Nexus 7Ks each with dual SUP2 supervisors. When I try saving config on one of them I get the following:
N7K1-VDC-DC# copy run start
[########################################] 100%
Configuration update aborted: request was aborted
I believe a supervisor restart should solve the issue. So here's the plan.
1) Failover to the standby supervisor
system switchover
2) take the now standby supervisor out of service and remove from chassis
out-of-service 6
3) re-insert the supervisor
4) Then once the supervisor comes back online and in standby status, I could repeat the process for the other supervisor
Does that see the correct approach or can I restart the supervisor without actually removing it from the chassis?
