Hi Amey,
Yes you can do a WAAS PoC using vWAAS. The number of vWAAS instances still remain the same like appliances. You need a minimum of 3 instances. One vWAAS instance for branch, one for Core side and one vCM (virtual Central Manager).
Please see below more information on vWAAS Installation and configuration guide:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/waas/vwaas/guide/vwaasguide.html
You can reach out to Cisco PDI Helpdesk @ http://www.cisco.com/go/pdihelpdesk and they can assist you with any questions related to Plan, Design and Implemenation for your PoC. For getting the vWAAS software (OVA files) you will have to contact PDI Helpdesk.

Hi,
I am going to configure Vwaas on ESXi 5.1 hypervisor. I have one DC and one Branch
Office, and I want to perform optimisation between these two branches. So I need to install ESXi 5.1 hypervisor on both side?? Also where should I placed Central manager? How many total server are required? How many VMs are required ??Because I understand to conduct optimisation I need min 3 Vwaas instances.
Thanks
Amey
