Hello,
I am planning to use wccp on pair of Nexus 7k in vPC domain and have waas connected to both Nexus 7k via Port-Channel using vPC from Nexus side. Is there a problem with this design?
Should I expect any issue with vPC and WCCP redirection?

Hello,
From WCCP point of view, its best to apply the redirect at the egress for the traffic so you can utilize TCAM resources in N7K better. The same rule will be applicable with WCCP + VPC configuration. VPC is a virtual port channel. Depending upon VPC configuration, traffic flow and traffic flow between 2 N7K device along with WCCP Client (WAAS or cache engine), we may increase traffic on VPC peer link or Port channel interconnect between 2 N7K.
However when applying the WCCP redirect on Egress interface we minimize all these risks and in most cases egress Vlans are not part of VPC. Overall both features do work correctly, however its more of a design question as where best enable different features. We also need to make sure that if WCCP is enable on a VLAN part of VPC, then traffic between VPC peers do not have any issue for example packet drops and packet loss. WCCP in general amplify these issues when redirecting traffic to WAN Acceleration devices. Thanks.
