Webcast- Configure Your Cisco Device Through Spark with NETCONF-YANG

This event provides an overview of network programmability and how it can be applied in the Information Technology industry. The session focuses on three main topics: Spark Bots, Network Configuration Protocol (NETCONF)/Representational State Transfer Configuration (RESTCONF), and Yet Another Next Generation (YANG), which are the technologies that drive automation and revolutionized network design. The hands-on demonstration walks attendees through the use of these technologies. This webcast is a great opportunity for people who are interested in the design of network applications that can implement customer use cases which require programmability. The session includes a live demonstration that shows how to integrate conversational Spark Bots with NETCONF YANG, which configures Cloud Services Router (CSR) devices on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Sari Fernandez is a Customer Support Engineer with the Core Architecture team in the Cisco Global TAC. In addition to providing customer support, she participates in TAC’s vision for preemptive and proactive support. Sari has a passion for scripting, particularly for Python and Linux. Since Sari joined Cisco, she has trained engineers from Cisco and different business partners. Previously she worked as a Quality Engineer for Mobile apps, where she focused on testing automation for iOS and Android platforms. Sari holds a bachelor’s degree in Telematics Engineering and a RHCSA certification.

Luis Uribe is a Customer Support Engineer with the Core Architecture team in the Cisco Global Technical Assistance Center (TAC). Since graduation, he has worked on scripting (Python, EEM, bash) and sharing his knowledge as a trainer with Cisco. He is passionate about programming and has a particular interest in expanding his Linux and Python skills. Luis holds a bachelor’s degree in Telematics Engineering and a CCNA R&S. In May 2018, he will represent Cisco at PyCon 2018.
