This session provides an overview of the ASR 9000 Series routers and the different ASR 9000 platforms, as well as an introduction to the configuration of the Cisco IOS® XR CLI and routing protocols. The ASR Series routers are the cornerstone for modern carrier networks. They are designed to grow networks in accordance to your business needs as a modular, high density, power efficient, and secure platform with software virtualization capabilities. The session includes a live demonstration of the ASR 9000 Series routers and the best configuration practices.

Elvin Arias Soto.pngElvin Arias Soto is a Customer Support Engineer on the Cisco IOS XR Team in Cisco’s Global Technical Assistance Center (TAC). He has experience across different technologies such as OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, EIGRP, Cisco IOS XR, DMVPN, MPLS, and Multicast among others. Elvin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from the Iberoamericana University of the Dominican Republic. He has several Cisco Certifications, such as CCIE R&S #57406, CCNP R&S, CCNA Service Provider, and CCNA Security. He is currently preparing for the CCNP Service Provider. In addition, the Cisco Learning Network community has selected him as a Cisco Designated VIP for 5 years in a row (since 2013).
