Changing a PLG1000 IP

I noticed after we changed the IP address for a PLG1000 device that the new IP doesn't show up on the onplus.com portal, even though the device is reporting OK.

I assume that you are talking about the LAN IP address as it

is listed under the plg1000's information page.  When I navigate to the

customer topology, hover over the plg1000, then click on the 'i', I see the

information page.  The 4th parameter listed is 'IP Address'.  In my test case, this was 192.168.1.70

as was issued by dhcp.  I cross launched the plg, logged in, and clicked on configration,

where I changed the IP address to 192.168.1.167.  I then had

to wait for a while for the device to reboot (I think it took 3-4 minutes).

I did see the IP address change on the movie, but, only after I exited the movie

and then went back to that customer again.  I wasn't patient enough, I should have

waited to see if the IP changed on the current movie.  Can you take a look

at your customer again?  Has it's IP address changed?

Another thing that was weird was the cross launch persisted during

the ip address change.  We need to fix that.  The tunnel should be torn

down if the IP address of the plg changes.

I couldn't reproduce your problem.  If you can contact me off list I can

take a look at this problem with you.

Thanks,

Nevermind. I just had to wait little longer. I guess 15 minutes wasn't enough time. Either that or it was b/c I logged off and on again. Anyways the new static IP shows on the PLG1000 information page online now.

Thanks.

I ran in to the same issue...it took a while to see the new ip address.  I'm looking in to it.

I know that on larger networks the discovery loop can take a while.  It could

be that the ip address change / reboot waited until after the current discovery

loop completed.
