Quality control issue?

It might be a little early to worry about this stuff.  Maybe these initial units are hand assembled but ....

The wireless antenna connection on the back of the 570W was finger tight.  The little brass nut had not been tightened.  This sounds like a "no big deal" but this was discovered after scewing on the antenna.  So it was difficult to get the antenna off again to tighten the nut because the antenna connector would just spin in the chassis.  I would presume too much spinning would break off the internal wire connection to the antenna mount.  We got it off and tightened the nut as much as we can w/o taking the whole chassis apart.

So I suggest a regular consumer would be rather miffed about this whole thing and it does not give one that "CISCO quality" feeling.

Hi Joe,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Here is the response from our engineering team:

We found after the trial units were built, through some other customer experience, that the connectors were not only installed with insufficient torque, but also lacked the proper feature in the connector to prevent it from spinning in the hole should the connector become loose.  For production, the connector will not only be properly torqued, but will also not spin in the hole in the event it should become loosened and need to be retightened.

Best,
Sheri

Good on ya .
