Spam and Virus Blocker Upgrade Query

Hi,

I'm just upgrading the AsyncOS on one of our blockers - It's never had an OS upgrade since it's been installed.

It appears to be stuck on 15% Installing Application (has been for the past hour).

Is this normal, or is it supposed to run through quicker?

Hello Sean,

the upgrade should typically take less than an hour. Can you please verify that:

1. the appliance is supended (CLI command: suspend)

2. the update interval is changed from 5 minutes to 60 minutes (GUI: Security Services -> Service Updates)

3. proxy servers in your network do not intercept the upgrade

Mostly the upgrade process get stuck or aborted due to load issues on the appliance or due to network connectivity issues.

If the above suggestions do not help, please feel free to raise a service request with the support team.

Cancelled the upgrade, ran through the settings as specified and tried again. Went through fine the 2nd time!
