ATA 188 software installation

Hi, I bought few years ago Cisco ATA 188 , but never really used it, I installed it properly  to Router, Computer, phone then I got dial tone but it does not work because I did not installed any software, I believe I need Call Management software, then  I download  
ata_03_02_04_sccp_090202_a.zip ,   
ata_03_02_04_sccp_090202_a.zip

 I don’t know is this correct software or not  

Please help me out how to install properly with IP address and so on,

Also what beneficiary I could get if I use it in my business,

 what is the advantage to have this devices at work,

Can be more specific claiming "it does not work" ?

Do you have a analog phone connected to ATA188 ? Is SIP account configured on ATA188 ? Is the ATA188 registered to SIP switch (PBX) ?

According software - you need to decide you wish to have SIP gateway or SCCP gateway.I assume you need to have SIP hateway, so SIP firmware needs to be loaded in ATA. SIP formware require no CallManager.

If you consider to use SCCP, then SCCP firmware needs to be installed. In such case you need to have CallManager as well. It's not free, you need to buy one.
