We are looking at implementing IP phones for some remote home users. Our first option was purchasing an IP phone itself, with a VPN client firmware installed that will connect to a Cisco ASA. However, we were wondering any of the Cisco ATA's had the VPN firmware capability, so that the users can keep their current analong phone. I can't find anything to indicate whether or not a VPN tunnel is possible with the Cisco ASA's.... Any help?

VPN passthrough options available on the spa122.

Not VPN passthrough. normal IP Phone sets can have firmware that creates a VPN tunnel directly to the main system, through the ASA. Just trying to figure out if the ata's can do the same.

Colin,
None of the Cisco Small Business ATA's support vpn connections.

Hi Sir,
Maybe SRP520/540 can fits to your needs.
They have 2 FXS/1FXO(backup only in 520 models) ports and supports IPSec VPN Tunnels.
Thanks,
Regards.
