Provisioning XML file with SPA232D

Hi,

I need some help to figure out what is the correct XML configuration to set the DECT parameters.

SPA232D has 1x PSTN, 1x LINE, 10x DECT connections

My question is how to provision DECT lines?

configuration is something like below...

<!-- LINE 1-->

  <Line_Enable_1_ ua="na">No</Line_Enable_1_>

  <Proxy_1_ ua="na">111.222.33.44</Proxy_1_>

  <Display_Name_1_ ua="na">!USER!</Display_Name_1_>

  <User_ID_1_ ua="na">!USER!</User_ID_1_>

  <Password_1_ ua="na">!PASSWORD!</Password_1_>

  <Use_Auth_ID_1_ ua="na">No</Use_Auth_ID_1_>

  <Auth_ID_1_ ua="na">!USER!</Auth_ID_1_>

  <Mini_Certificate_1_ ua="na"></Mini_Certificate_1_>

  <SRTP_Private_Key_1_ ua="na"></SRTP_Private_Key_1_>

<!-- LINE 2-->

     <Line_Enable_2_ ua="na">No</Line_Enable_2_>

     ...

     ...

     ...

Tried reading the provisioning guide under Voice parametes page 81, mentioned only for lines but non for DECT.

Are you asking about the syntax ? Well, you may read the documentation. Or you may save the configuration from configured device into file (either using /admin/config.xml URL or utilising SIP NOTIFY method) and use it as example/template

The following example is )mostly default) configuration of DECT 1 line. Most of parameters are same as for casual line.

Hi Dan,

i tried this  /admin/config.xml howeve it is jumbled/encrypted of some sort.

i just noticed you wrote line_enable 4 as your example, is line 4 equal to DECT 1?  i tried configuring, line 1-3, and not 4,.. i will try 4 on monday and will post updates.

thanks

for SPA301 and 302 no issues, i have provisioned it correctly, LINE number is directly equivalent with Extension number.

but since SPA232 has PSTN and Phone with 10 Lines, i have not tried reaching line 4 in xml file. i noticed line 1 is equivalent to Phone LINE. line 2 does not affect anyting and line 3 also not affecting anything.

It seems the 1,2 are FXS lines 1 a 2 (well, SPA232D has no line 2, but it is for compatibility with configuration of SPA112). 3 is FXO line (PSTN), 4-13 are DECT 1 - DECT 10

By the way, the SPA232D is ATA device, not SPA IP phone, so you should move this thread to

Use "move" command on the top right menu.

Hi Dan, sure will move the thread and will try to configure ata tomorrow.. Ty
