SPA 121/122 ATA webserver not accessible for initial setup.

I've just unboxed a new SPA 122 ATA, connected it to my network, I know what address it is on, I can ping the address, I cannot access the webserver.

I log into the IVR system and confirm both IP address and the port, I am accessing the correct IP address and it's on port 80, so no surprises there.

I've tried a factory reset, same deal.

It's like the webserver is just not coming up.

Not only you can't access server on WAN IP address. You even can't access on LAN IP address if browser's connection come from WAN side of unit.

Use LAN IP from browser connected to LAN side.

Your description of issue doesn't go beyond "I'm doing things the right way". In such case there's only conclusion possible - unit is faulty, apply for warranty.

Just for the case you are trying to access wrong IP or you are connected to WAN side of unit I would like to note the WWW server is accessible from LAN side (and IP address of LAN side) of SPA122 only.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm accessing from the LAN side (in this case, internal IP 10.0.1.51)
and as I said, I can ping it.

I bought this off of Amazon so I hope the seller stands behind it.

Check device's sticker. What's the exact value of PID VID printed here ?

Wait, something you said - that it allows web connections on the LAN
port only, I realize now that I have been trying to connect over WAN
port address.

And although there is an IVR command to enable web access on WAN port,
you get "invalid" when you try it, probably as you say the SP122 won't
do it.

Not only you can't access server on WAN IP address. You even can't access on LAN IP address if browser's connection come from WAN side of unit.

Use LAN IP from browser connected to LAN side.

Yeah, exactly.

Direct connecting from computer to ethernet port is the ticket.

Thanks to all who replied.

BTW, you can connect to the WAN port of the SP122 after you change the default admin password.

True, but consider security before you will enable access to UI from WAN side.
