SPA112 and Ademco ContactID Protocol

Hi

We have moved all our analog devices off our stable but ancient pbx to unreiable cisco ata's. Most alarm panels have been working okay on 1.2.1 (004) Jul 27 2012 firmware however we also have some Cardax diallers which show "All transfer attempts failed" mesages on the Activity Reports.

Cardax Diallers follow Ademco ContactID Protocol, has anyone ever attempted let alone been successful using an SPA1x2 to deliver calls to the Alarm Monitor?

Gary

Well heres the answer:

I found a note on the ContactID Timing Chart saying that if Data tones are too loud or quiet, the monitoring station won't send a kissoff. I changed the following to get reliable comms:

Voice>Regional>Miscellaneous

FXS Port Impedance: 370+620||310nF (for NZ)

FXS Port Input Gain: 6

FXS Port Output Gain: 6

DTMF Playback Level: 0

Just hope the buggy 1.2.1(004) firmware holds out okay.....

If you have any further issues in connection with using the contact id protocol in an IP PBX environment, this page may help you: contact id.
