Hi folks,
We're using SPA112's for faxing over IP. The devices are loaded with firmware 1.3.1(003). I've followed the T.38 instructions Patrick Born posted a while ago. Unfortunately we cannot get a higher success rate than 80%. Faxes are failing mostly with two messages on the receiving side:
- HDLC carrier did not stop in a timely manner
- Unexpected message receivde
The setup is like this:
Fax --> SPA112 --> Voip carrier --> T.38 Faxsoftware (t38faxvoip.com)
This setup results in 80% success rate (15 faxmessage send)
To be sure the problem doesn't occur on the receiving side i've tried this setup:
Freeswitch Fax --> Voip Carrier --> T.38 Faxsoftware (t38faxvoip.com)
This setup results in 100% success rate (25 fax messages send)
I've attached 3 dumps of the faxes that are failing with the message "Unexpected message receivde".
To me they look normal but Im not a T.38 expert. If anyone has suggestions please tell.
