SPA2102 auto hangup?

Hi,

Is it possible to have a SPA2102 (FW 5.2.13) automatically hangup after a call has ended, or at least not play the off hook noise?

We have it connected to specialized intercom phone, the guest dials a feature code to dial phones within the office, someone picks up remotely, ends the call by hanging up, and the guest using the intercom is left being blasted by the off hook noise until it eventually stops.

If necessary we also have SPA3102's for an FXO port available, if this is not possible with a SPA2102's FXS.

Thanks for any and all input!

If your device attached to the SPA2102 recognizes a CPC signal (momentary voltage drop) for a disconnect you can configure the SPA2102 to give that signal when the distant party disconnects.  If the line is still off hook after the CPC signal the SPA2102 gives a dial tone which will continue for the number of seconds configured in the dial tone configured before the SPA2102 gives a reorder tone.

To configure the FXS line to give a CPC signal when the distant party disconnects on the Regional Tab you configure the CPC Duration to a number between .001 to 1.000 for the number of seconds you wish the voltage to drop.  You would probably use 1.000 seconds.  You can also configure a delay before the signal is issued if you wish.

You can change the off hook warning tone duration under Regional menu.

Off Hook Warning Tone: Played when the caller has not properly placed the handset on the cradle.

Off Hook Warning Tone is played when Reorder Tone times out.

The default is 480@10,620@0;10(.125/.125/1+2).

The 10 in bold is the duration in seconds. Change this value to 2 or 1.

Setting the CPC duration to 1 worked perfectly, hangs up the intercom without any kind of off hook noise. Thanks again!
