SPA232d - Can't reset to factory defaults.

Hi,

 

I have an SPA232d which I can access the Phone Adapter Configuration Utility login page for through the Ethernet port but am not able to login in as either admin/admin or cisco/cisco, I get "Invalid Username or Password. Please Try Again.".

I have tried to reset to factory defaults but the reset button doesn't appear to do anything, I have tried holding reset for 20 seconds and nothing different happens (no flashing lights etc) and a momentary press of the reset button also doesn't have any effect. I've tried various other combinations of reset button hold duration and power cycling too, up to 2 minutes.

I also have no access to the IVR, getting silence and **** has no effect.

 

Are there any other methods of performing a factory reset on the SPA232d?

 

For reference, the Phone Adapter Coonfiguration Utility claims it's version 1.3.4.

Authorized administrator of device can disable reset to factory default. It is intentional feature, In such case only authorized administrator, aware of password he configured in, can logon and change settings.

Unauthorized persons are not allowed to gain access to it.

So - do you know the correct name and password for such device ?
