SPA3102 as simple FXO/SIP gateway, no router?

Hi,

Has anyone set up a SPA3102 as a simple gateway between the FXO PSTN line and an internal SIP PBX (Asterisk or similar)?  I don't want the thing trying to act as a router; it will be on the same LAN segment & subnet as the PBX machine and just needs to provide a 2-way SIP trunk that's actually the PSTN line.

Would this work with just the WAN port connected, or perhaps with both ports on the same segment & subnet, or would that confuse it?

Thanks!

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

You could deploy it in bridge mode if you don't want it acting like a router:

Router tab > Lan Setup > Networking Service > Bridge

That did the trick, thanks!
