How can I obtain REM 11.6 finesse_assist_gadget.war file for the purpose of building a custom REM gadget?

It is only shipped with the server side OVA so you would need to get it from an existing install.
There should be a timestamped copy under the
/opt/cisco/<version>/REAS/domain/deployment_backups/ folder.
