The Cisco telepresence stations has a 8-12 inch Touch interface to simplify operation.
For example Cisco MX200 telepresence station has an eight-inch Cisco TelePresence Touch interface which offers simple control.
Is it possible to add additional services to this user interface like custom buttons for services?
On normal phone devices we have used the IPPS Cisco IP Phone XML Services to add application defined custom buttons.
What kind of API can we use for this purposese with the Cisco Telepresence touch control interface like CTS-CTRL-DVP8?

There is no API that will accomplish what you are trying to do. If you are using one of the Telepresence devices that is also an android then you can customize it through android development, but with all other devices customizations like this are currently not possible through an API.
That being said if you have a significant need for touch interface customization and would like to pursue it further, please send all the information on what you would like to do, approximately how many units you may be looking to modify, and a time frame of when you would need these interfaces customized to developer-support@cisco.com and we can then put you in contact with a product manager that would be able to assist you further.

Balazs, great question!
could you elaborate a bit on what kind of custom controls and services you were thinking of? We don't currently offer this but it is something that we have been thinking of providing. Are we talking control for lights, blinds, curtains, switching on/off projectors/monitors etc or more complex advanced services that may require more dialogue with the user?

David, I'm looking into the possibility of adding custom content to the touch controllers, I have several global clients that are looking for a way to measure CSAT when a scheduled meeting finishes. Please can you get in touch and I'll explain in more detail.
