Hi,
We have updated our Jabber Guest SDK for Android from 11.2.1 to 11.2.2 which is currently the only compatible version with Google Play Store targetSDKversion requirement (see: https://community.cisco.com/t5/audio-and-video-endpoints/jabber-guest-sdk-for-android-jabberguestcall-createinstance/m-p/4164335). We were surprised to find out that this version raised minSDKVersion, dropping support for Android versions 5.0 and 5.1. This is the error message that we're getting while attempting to build our project with this SDK version:
Manifest merger failed : uses-sdk:minSdkVersion 21 cannot be smaller than version 23 declared in library [:jcf-release] C:\Users\ajurkiew\ReposBuildTests\kbb-android\jcf-release\build\.transforms\1d4efc709302c62f820a332c202e9be0\jetified-jcf-release\AndroidManifest.xml as the library might be using APIs not available in 21
Suggestion: use a compatible library with a minSdk of at most 21,
or increase this project's minSdk version to at least 23,
or use tools:overrideLibrary="com.cisco.jabber.guest.api" to force usage (may lead to runtime failures)Please, advise if this is the intended behavior and that we cannot support Android 5 anymore. Are there any available release notes or announcements for this change? The only available release notes I've found are these (which appear out of date - not featuring 11.2(2)): https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/Guest/11_2/jabc_b_release-notes_11-2.html
Best Regards,
Adam
