Developing a kiosk-type application, the goal being to replace the stock launcher with a contained experience limited to a few functions.
Ideally would like to permanently hide the navbar but realize this is somewhat difficult in stock Android 4.1. Are there any platform customizations I can invoke from my application to accomplish this?
And if not, I noticed that Phone Only mode does invoke some changes to the navbar along with restricted access to settings:
Unfortunately it doesn't look like I can use my custom launcher while configured in phone mode. Is there any way for me to invoke these settings otherwise?
