APIC

Dear  team,

One of the Customer is asking for the following test scenario for NRFU

The customer wants to unplug the power Cables from all three APIC nodes instead of graceful Shutdown at each site and wants to check if it works fine after powering on.

Please confirm if Cisco supports such a scenario. If yes, we need confirmation that it works fine after such power failure. If no, then we need a strong enough recommendation (preferably supported by a published document by Cisco for best practices) to show to the Customer as a justification for not going forward with this test scenario for NRFU. “

Hi @husamabobakr

Yes, this kind of test should be a good test, and the APIC cluster should come back up after the APICs are restored.

In the end, power failures do happen in a DC, even if generally speaking you should have redundancy on different grids.

Cheers,

Sergiu
