CUCM/JTAPI daisy chain conference

In my tests the following foes NOT work:

  • A calls B which answers
  • B conferences C which answers
  • B completes conference
  • C conferences D which answers
  • C cannot complete conference, neither through the physical phone nor CTI

However, this slightly different case does work:

  • A calls B which answers
  • B conferences C which answers
  • B completes conference
  • B conferences D which answers
  • B completes conference

Could you clarify if daisy chain conferencing is supported, and point be to the documentation details on this.

Thanks!

Derrick

Derrick,

CallManager service parameter 'Advanced Ad Hoc Conference Enabled' should be set to true for scenario 1 to work. Can you check the setting?

Ad Hoc Conference Linking

Advanced ad hoc conferencing allows you to link multiple ad hoc conferences together by adding an ad hoc conference to another ad hoc conference as if it were an individual participant. If you attempt to link multiple conferences together when the Advanced Ad Hoc Conference Enabled service parameter is set to False, the IP phone displays a message. You can also use the methods that are available for adding individual participants to an ad hoc conference to add another conference to an ad hoc conference.

CiscoConferenceChainAddedEv and CiscoConfenceChainRemovedEv are the events JTAPI will deliver to call observer.

Found the solution.  Looks like this can be done by setting Advanced Ad Hoc Enabled.

Looks like our messages crossed at the same time. :-)  Thanks Mohan.
