CUCM version: 10.5
A Cisco 7942 phone has a line with an “Associated Remote Destinations” configured with an external destination number and “Single Number Reach” enabled.
There is also a Remote Destination Profile with a line that’s using the same DN and the phone.
In the line’s Directory Number Information, we have Allow Control of Device from CTI and in the Associated Devices list, both the 7942 phone and the Remote Destination Profile are listed.
When the remote destination answered a call that is ringing on the Cisco phone, TAPI indicated the line on phone changed to a CONNECT INACTIVE state.
What indication can TAPI provide to indicate that the remote destination has answered the call?
Is a CTI Remote Device required in this situation?
Background
We want to record the call when remote destination answered a call.
I think we can get the forked audio streams by using “Gateway Preferred” network-based recording.
But we need TAPI to provide a clear indication that the remote destination answered the call.
Thank you
