We will be connecting a number of fax machines using ATA-187 boxes.
Whilst the boxes work and can be seen in CM we can't see them through JTAPI.
If they are not supported is there any work around to get basic call events from such a device, or are there any alternative devices which will generate JTAPI events.
TIA

Cisco JTAPI supports phones only. For analog phones take a look at Cisco JTAPI Developer Guide for Cisco Unified CallManager 4.1(3) - Overview [Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallM…

Yes, as that link you mention points out the ATA-186 was controllable via JTAPI, but that unit is now EOL and its successor the ATA-187 would appear as far as I can tell not to be supported by JTAPI. The ATA-186 has same general functionality as the ATA-187 so I'm surprised its lost such a key feature for enterprise devices.

You can try VG248 or one of its successor VG350.

We have now tested the VG202xm. It is basically a small router with an internal VIC-2FXS. Its supported by JTAPI and seems to do everything we want so far.
